Welcome to the second installment of fictionspired, a thematic series of sound compositions inspired by art, literature or film. This week, I bring a musical adaptation of The Little Engine That Could.
In “Peculiar Child Goes On To Greatness”, we have a young banjo player busking the city streets. Initially, he’s dismissed, even ridiculed, but he perseveres and people gradually take positive notice. He garners a following, attracting the attention of local jazz musicians; they invite him to perform with them. After honing his craft, he graduates to an upright bass. “Jazz Pub Warm-up” is the postlude of him rehearsing with the same ensemble.

I love this series you have going. The keys on “peculiar child” is great. Keep it up!
Thanks, Vincent! I really enjoy making them, and I appreciate your stopping by to have a listen!
